Hello everyone, I bought this sword about 7-8 months ago when I was first getting into buying quality swords. So let's get to the review shall we?

Product Specifications:
Handmade - Extremely sharp and thick blade.
Straight ninja style blade.
Engraving on both sides of the blade.
Real ray-skin handle with black leather cord wrap.
Copper Habaki and Seppa for a unique combination of color.
Full Tang construction with dual bamboo pegs.
High carbon steel blade (1065).
Lacquered wooden Saya (scabbard).
Quality Sageo and Ite wrapping.
Can be disassembled for care & maintenance.
Includes a black cotton sword bag (very tight fit around tsuba).
40 in. Overall, 27 in. Blade, 11 3/8 in. Handle.
Upon arrival:
First off the Habaki was kinda misplaced onto the Tsuka like it was crooked. Second the Ito wrap was messed up and kinda loose, however it was not hard to fix by just moving it into it's normal position. The leather Ito I was not happy with at all for the grip was not as comforting as a cotton Ito. I also have sweaty hands after holding something for to long. The Tsuka was very very tight when I tried to dismantle the blade, unfortunately I was unable to get it all apart. The Mekugi was in good shape. After some test cuts I could tell it had some troubles cutting the bottles, it could have been the bottles or my technique since I am not used to using straight swords. The designs on the blade were not something I would of wanted too much.
It may just be me and probably is. This was my first Masahiro blade as well. The blade's sharpness was not at all too impressive but after me doing some of my own sharping it seemed to have cut a lot better. Everything else on the blade seemed to be in good place, the Tsuba was nice and tight and Fuchi,Kashira and other fittings were on well. Over all I would give this blade a 7/10.
Pros: Sturdy blade, Looks nice, good thrusting ability.
Cons: Crooked fitting, some what dull, Leather Ito.
Thank you!
