I am a bit skeptical of this vendor, see www.ebay.com.au/itm/50-4-Razor-Sharp-Battle-Ready-Striders-Ranger-Sword-/250767272563?pt=AU_KnivesSwords&hash=item3a62e4ea73They are selling a 440 stainless steel ranger sword as battle ready! They seem to sell a lot of fantasy blades and movie props. While they have a pretty impressive looking write up on the blades they sell, that they sell 440 stainless sword as battle ready says they don't know what they are talking about or hyping SLO wall hangers like functional blades. While that jian looks ok, I would look at other more trusted vendors before risking on that one. I understand that you might like the look of that sword, and I do too. I just would hate for you to pick up something that is not that good due to looking at appearance first.

It took me awhile to figure out those price quotes were from Jin Shi. Note the bottom of the Doc on tang and han, *Dimensions are based on stock models and are subject to change at customer's request and requirements within reason* Jin Shi. Which was how I finally figured out this was from Jin Shi.
So the measurements posted are just a sort of guide. Since Jin Shi does custom work only, you can define the measurements you want and not held to just what is listed.

Thanks for all your help! Due to some unfortunate developments the finances wont be available for a while so this will have to be put on hold for a while!

I was going to ask why wait on someone else getting a sinosword to let everyone know how it is when, for about the same price, there's the tried and fabulously true Jin Shi already around.
...But I see somebody already beat me to it...
