Does anyone know a good place online to get high quality stilettos? I don't want any of these cheap Budk or amazon ones. I have yet to add a nice stiletto to my collection.
-Thanks

Ah, I missed the "Automatic" in the title. Gotcha.

I lost all my good switchblade links on my old computer when it died, sorry, but I do know there are some great ones out there. Make sure of the knife laws in your area before ordering though. I know some places they are illegal others they are not. Some places you can order them in kit form, others you can't. It is up to the buyer to be aware of the laws not the seller, so check to be sure.

Oh one vendor I remembered, and looked up, www.assistedknife.com/index.cfm They actually will ship you the blade disassembled from the automatic knife that has a comb in place of blade. With this it is up to you to decide if your going to assemble it. I remembered them due to their policy of actually letting them order a knife for you, and convert it to a safe to ship form if you find something you want but can't get in the mail. Now I know this borders on legal issues. These kit forms are legal but if you decide to put together with the blade in they can become illegal. Again know your local laws.

I picked up a nice model from Frank Beltrame through UniqueBlades.com, linked above. Very nice knife, clean action, strong springs. You can custom-order one from Frank directly, with your choice of blade type and size, grip material/color, and an option for the basic integral-guard bolsters or a "swinguard" model. Prices are a bit steep, but fair; mine cost around $70, and while the same knife from Frank directly would have cost about the same, shipping from Frank would have been around $40. I only paid $8 from Unique Blades. Here's an earlier thread that got some good discussion and a link or two: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=7142As to laws, I know here in Virginia, where I live, switchblades/automatic knives are not legal for personal carry, but owning one is fine. Definitely check on your local laws, because there are places that outright ban them entirely.

Thanks, I'm so glad that the laws around here are not strict. Looking forward to buying something. Thanks everybody.

I just received my beltrame swingguard from assistedknife nice knife, though it is not really sharp. Real fast shipping. I think I may put up a review on it since I am pretty impressed.

My FB stiletto was not sharp, either. Stilettos aren't really cutting knives, so I'm not worried about it. Mine's just a glorified letter opener, anyway; something I show off from time to time. Can't carry it, so no point fussing over its usefulness.
If you sharpen yours, though, let us know how it goes. I'm still considering a swinguard model.

I always purchased mine at www.bladeplay.com- pretty good products for cheap and quick service.

I hear that. If there is an intruder I got a couple waki's sitting around. Next up would be some fixed blades. Sweet little curio though.
