You might try Kult of Athena.
Some of there low end Romans come with two slabs of leather machine sewed together. If there is a sword with the right deminsions you might try to buy just that. Or get them to order one for you.
Not much, but better that a cut young one.

I actually have a heavy duty industrial sewing machine from when I moonlighted as a canvass maker for the boating business...but I have never sewn leather. I may shoot my eye out.
