I don't recall him ever having a sword with bohi, but my memories are beyond faded. I've just spent a good five minutes googling pictures of him with sword, and it's nearly impossible to get a full view of his reverse-blade in official art. Either way, a bohi would be somewhat counterintuitive to the construction, I imagine. A normal sword would have the benefit of the meat up front, but a reverse blade would be putting the worst of it right at the forefront... I have the DVDs around here somewhere, but I'm too darn lazy (and apathetic) to screen them all in search of a good angle on his sword.  |

Absolutely nothing! Hell, the coolness factor is the only real reason the lot of us are interested in swords, to begin with. And as the guy with a frigging lightsaber right here on my desk, I've really no right to judge, anyway.  My point was really just that if a thing is to be criticized, it should be criticized for its real shortcomings rather than regurgitated katana myths. All I'm saying is that there's no reason why a well made "sakabato" would be structurally or functionally inferior to a regular katana; but on the other hand, it's neither better at bashing things than a regular katana nor any worse at cutting stuff, and thus fails completely to accomplish its stated design goals.  |

Hey Random, I think it was still at the smiths as a back up.
