Anybody else getting this issue when trying to visit the CSS Site? Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.33 Server at custom-sword-shoppe.com Port 80 *Update* if you go there get out quick until it is fixed! I have strong reason to believe that it seems to be leaving some malware bugs on comps! This malware removes your background and puts up a new one, then continues to run like a program so scans don't pick it up and it shuts down everything you open (causing it to be difficult to remove), it then pops up a FAKE Virus scan that will ask you if you want to fix the issue which links you godknowswhere to get more bugs and try to scam you! I, my laptop, and I believe one other member I know of seem to have all gotten this bug soon after visiting CSS site and forum. Which really sucks as I was in the middle of getting some quotes from Sonny over there. Looks like:

I did. I was trying to go to Sonny's forum to let him know how happy I was with his Bristol and I saw the same message. Somebody should call him, I don't have his number.

haha... you poor windows users... lol. maybe this is a good time to switch to linux? Never pay $200 for windows again, also buying a new computer without OS is alot cheaper too.
I recommend Ubuntu.

yea, it came up on mine as well. Unfortunately, I have Sonny's number on my CSS forum acct so I can't get at it... I'm pretty sure Sonny is fully aware of the problem since he responds to pms quickly all the time. I had to delete my regular windows 7 acct via my admin account. Cory looks like he had to reformat all the way. Watch out trying to enter the CSS forums or Custom Sword Shoppe because there is a high chance you can get this virus just by clicking on VA's links. It's better to try entering on a non-administrative account...though of course the site is probably pinned down by a server overload anyways. If it starts running -> PULL THE INTERNET OR POWER PLUG IMMEDIATELY. It can be phishing for personal information, c.c. numbers, emails, passwords and other goodies. Reboot in safe mode and try to fix it from there. If it doesn't work, log on in normal with the internet down - back up everything -> create a second admin account -> reboot into the second account and delete the first. Hopefully you can avoid experiencing Cory's pain this way. edit: I'm checking it all the time so I can tell everyone when it's back up. Deleting regular user accts is mighty fun

I went there and got the same message and alarm bells.
Trend Micro shut it down immediately, and I suffered no ill effects.
Webroot caught it also and blocked it from running on my comp simultaneously with Trend Micro.

I was using an outdated copy of XP Home, as I avoided Vista like I avoid a wall hanger. Due to certain laws here in Canada, I haven't had to "pay" for a OS since my first computer 11 years ago, I just keep being "upgraded" by Microsoft Also I am extra LOVING my wife now, she is a Apple Care Advisor and she can be pretty handy, even around a PC, for these types of issues! Now I'm on Win7! OH YEAH BABY!

with out starting an OS war, why even bother using an OS that can get a virus? why not make a choice and be free?

There is no OS that is 100% immune to a virus. The reason why many lesser-used OS's don't get viruses is because few are written for it, they simply aren't used widely enough to cause wide-spread damage. Windows gets the most because it is the most commonly used OS in the world.
FWIW, I have never gotten a virus on any of my PC's which have run Windows.

The reason why everything except Windows hardly ever gets virus's is because of how they are written.
there are 2 types of operating systems, 1.windows 2.Unix (which includes Mac)
Windows has inherent flaws that any skript kiddy could exploit. Unix, not so much.
For example: In windows any program can set it's self to run automatically and in the background with no notification or authorization for the user or admin. In unix only programs given specific permission can run on its own, & any program that wants to be added to the auto run list requires admin password to edit the pref file.
windows was not designed with security in mind.

I will admit that not having security built into the programming is a major flaw of Windows. As such, I do consider anybody remiss who doesn't use a proper level of security on their computers, use Mozilla or another secure web browser as opposed to Idiot Exploiter, popup blockers, and so forth. However, once all that has been done, Windows is as secure as anything else out there. The main bonus to Windows is that it's a much easier program for non-computer users to run and understand. That, and I LIKE having two mouse buttons instead of just one.

I concur. I use Mozilla, Avast Anti-Virus (the best in my opinion), as well as an almost vicious popup blocker; haven't had a virus in years and I'm still running an old copy of XP. I refuse to switch to 7 until I absolutely have to.

Well being a web/graphic designer I am forced to use windows on my work PC. and I do manage to keep virus free with XP Pro, Chrome, AVG Pro.
Who ever said just 1 mouse button? if you like two buttons use a mouse that has two buttons!

My mouse has as many buttons as I can find uses to program to them. It's also a touchpad with multi-touch and gesture support. Two buttons? No scroll wheel, even, then? What is this, 1990-something? Sheesh. Oh and viruses, yes...I remember those. Then I learned how to not get them.

Here is an update on the site.
Some Hackers from Hong Kong were targeting my site. I took the site down to make sure it was clean and I hired a Watchdog Company to secure it and monitor it from here on out.
They were not interested in our site really, they just wanted to hide code on it that would target people without updated Anti-viral software. Sorry they got you Cory. It is a very simple clean. If you want I can walk you through it.

Wow...that was a nice little detour from reading about swords Actually good points made on all sides. Too bad Sonny had to suffer that mess though. Hard enough trying to run an honest business without scumbags trying to ruin it for you. Unfortunately nasty, dishonest scumbags are like weeds in a garden...you constantly have to guard against them :x !
