Looks like you had way too much fun. Maybe even got a little crazy in some places.
Still, that's some impressive cutting. I'm not sure what you had on that wood, but the sword bit in wonderfully.

This sword is way fun, I highly recommend it. The 'thing' was a beat-up hoola-hoop, that needed discarded.

I thought it was. Either way, it's like the wood wasn't even there.

I like the choice of music and of course because I already own one new the 300 Sword was a good cutter.
Cool video, and I bet your stress level dropped considerably after making it!

Cutting stuff will almost always relieve stress. Unless of course your sword fails to perform...
But this video in particular was very calming to my nerves during it's development! Especially cutting down the moose.

I like it too, more historically accurate.

Love the grip wrap, Brian. Looks more "real" for lack of a better term. And I love the "Whack-a-Moose" bit. Take THAT Bullwinkle!

Thanks everyone.
That stuff is fun to cut, too. I need to find more of it.

How you get it to stick to the grip?

I used waxed string underneath, which acts as a light adhesive to keep it in place. Then on the last 1.5 inches of wrap I applied adhesive (careful not to expose, it looks tacky (pun intended)).

By any chance do you get bored often, Brian?
Yet another service from AoV, eh? This sword is starting to look better and better.

I am eyeing one of these. I bet it would make a heck of a camp or hiking sword. It looks like a lot of fun. I am just so curious how functional it is and how it handles though.

Any question about it's functionality should be answered from the video posted. It would make a very fun camping sword. It handles very well, except that the standard grip it comes with tends to let the pommel dig into your palm. But with my custom grip it completely eliminates that, and looks more authentic. I highly recommend it.
