Nice Review! The Mokko was actually my first katana and my first real sword. Had mine for about three years, the only thing that changed was the ito wrap on the saya - I got a new cord and wrapped it up in the traditional samurai style. Mine was pretty hefty but cut like a dream and I was never able to destroy it despite the countless stumps, saplings, logs, and barrels I used it on. The fittings have changed alot since when I got mine. They used to be a very simple sword, these newer version look better aesthetically.

Ric, good review. The Cheness Mokko is one of my favorites, and the first practical cutting katana I ever bought. I still have it in my collection. +1 to you . --Edward

Great review and pics as always Ric. Unfortunately, my computer stated the video was no longer available. Anyone else having that problem?
