Just purchased one of these myself from Kult of Athena, based in part on this review. I'm very pleased with it. Hey Ron, I'm glad to be of some help. It's a mean weapon hey? Are you going to modify the grip at all? Glad you got brass before they run out. For now, I haven't any definite plans for the grip. If I develop much of a desire to customize the sword, I might wrap the grip in leather. Alternatively, I think it might be fun to remove the wood altogether, carve a new grip in wax, and use it as a core to cast a copper grip around the tang. Copper would make a nice contrast with the brass guards and steel blade. However, for the present I'm content with it as is.

i gots a gen2 celtic anthro, for X-mas and it was in brass , i love it, i think steel would look ok but the brass is far nicer, tho copper or all wood might look very nice too. i sanded the grip flat like discribed on this most helpful forum (many thanks)and now the sword handles like a dream.(the grip was very round and large) but i hope you like as much as i do ;D
