Ric, it has a wee bit of taper toward the rear (the rear steel cap on the grip is slightly smaller than the one near the guard), but not nearly so much as the new models. Compare the grip on mine to that of Matrix's Crusader.

Have you weighed it Matrix? 2.75lb sounds a little light given its size, and G2s reputation for overengineering. Imperial even states it as 3lb 3.2oz, and they may be understating. But if you have measured it please report only what you found.

I did weigh it, mine came in light compared to the online specs. Given the benefit of the doubt, if my scale is off, it is no more than 3 lbs.
