I dare say that it might handle better then that. The only reason being because of the guard. The Military Dadao is smoother and doesn't curl down in the front. But then again, that might be off set by the leather wrap grip. Wouldn't allow for an easy transition between grips.

Updated the review with pics of post-regripping.
I'll also say that I've worked on the edge a bit and it cuts noticably better now. I'm still having to go slow near the tip as I don't want to ruin that shape, but after I get the last 3 inches sharp, this will cut like a dream.

Some fantastic work there! Certainly getting this soon, once I settle some miniature sales! Not sure if I'll mod it, though I did consider a simple cord wrap.
