The River Witham Sword could work, but the other two are a bit out of my price range. Personally, I would prefer something I could wield with two hands. Two handed + Scandinavian might be a bit of a tall order though; I'm not sure they ever used those. At least I've got a while to search; I won't even have the money to order this for almost a month. Oh, and I just can't stop laughing about the description on River Witham: "The inscription on the blade reads +NDXOXCHMDRCHDXORVI+.

The only two handed repro sword I know of in viking style is made by deepeka but as far as I know there are a lot of problems with the trustworthiness of the temper on deepeka swords especially the non gladius ones. Here it is though www.kultofathena.com/product.asp ... Long+Sword viking style swords are for the most part single handed. At least historically. However IMHO yo should take the extra time and save the money and order one of the H/T line ones, also you can check the classifieds there are a lot of good deals in there. They are to the best of my knowledge the best under 200$ euro swords on the market, not only do they acctually feel like real swords, they look like real swords, but once the edge it touched up I have scene them cut through just about anything you can think of. However if you are set on the Hanwei Iberia line all I have to say is that I bought one and I love it here is my review, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=624. I have cut just about everything with it even trees and it has held up fine with no sets and barely even a scratch. I think that most people that warn people away have not scene the new and improved ibreia line and are merely commenting on what they have scene in the past, which believe me was crap. However this is all IMHO. so basically for the little money you get a sword that looks ok with limited finish and a secondary bevel with several other historical inacutacies that can still cut fairly well and holds up to a lot more than people give them credit for. I hope that helps my best wishes John
