Depending on how long Windlass keeps this one (what with their nasty habit of discontinuing popular swords), it may just make it into my own collection. Yesterday, I received the new Museum Replica catalog and the Castillon does not appear to be in it. Amazing.

If you absolutely MUST review your new Windlass, make it seem utterly horrible. Maybe then the rest of us can get one.

Freaking heck! I really hope it hasn't been discontinued...!!? It beggars belief, why does it seem that when they make a really good sword, they say "hmm, looks like people want this one. We had better get rid of it asap"...

It's to keep our expectations low. yup. Brilliant really. Matrix, I see you're attempting to adopt the Ricwilly bottle cutting system. ;D You need to keep the bottles closer to the stand for a quicker reload . Seriously, great job, especially the last two cuts, clean. Karma for you.

Thanks!
Actually, I'm in serious need of multiple stands for multiple targets. Reloading period, no matter how close, blows.

Has anyone else received one of MRL's funky Atlanta Cutlery sized catalogs? This is my second one. I wonder if they're slowly changing formats or something? Old size on left, latest copy on right:

I just noticed that the blade is sharpened right up to the cross. I often find myself hooking my index finger over the cross for a bit more control, so I wonder if I could get AoV to leave, say, the first 2" of blade (from the cross) unsharpened? Not a big deal, really, as I could easily dull down that part of the edge with a file and some scotch-brite, but I think it would look cooler to have it stop before the cross. Just thinkin' out loud.

Sure, we could adjust that no problem.
