I must say...when I first saw this in MRL's catalog I was far from enthused; I chalked it up to them trying to find somewhat else to do with the blades since their run of the Ibelin sword was done and the licensing agreements had expired. Your pictures show me else-wise as I find it to be much more attractive, wavy fuller and all.
I doubt I'll get it as the longer swords seem too long for me of the short-arms-small-hands type of fighter, but it is definitely a better looking sword than I first gave it credit for.
The Ibelin sword was still being marketed through Atlanta Cutlery as late as Christmas, guess it took longer to sell than they'd originally forecasted.

I'm in love! I always liked the Sword of Ibelin, but I think this one looks even better. It also comes with the scabbard, unlike the SoI. Great pics! You def did this sword justice

No problem, mate. If you can't find the thread (it may be buried in the back pages : , here's a link for ya. www.brothersmith-swords.com/F24-500924-War-Sword-p-24914.htmlAlso, check this out. It would save you a few dollers... www.brothersmith-swords.com/5percent.htmlI hope this helps! Please note that there's only 1 War Sword left in stock , so you may wish to hurry. Also, while I've never bought from brothersmithswords, I have heard of at least one person who ordered from them and was quite satisfied with the customer service. -Slayer

Doubt I'll get the money together quickly enough. Oh well, what can you do? Thanks tho brother, I appreciate it!

You know, this was the first sword I ever wanted after being introduced to the 'sword market'. I even ordered it but the dealer I ordered it from couldn't find any of these models anywhere! How ironic Ah well, got the Erbach sword instead so I was content until I saw this thread again!

lol... As far as I know, this is the last Windlass War Sword being sold ANYWHERE. I've searched for more, but my google-fu has failed me... CJ and Chris, I think that you guys are the only ones interested in this sword on SBG, and Brothersmith-swords is a pretty unknown site, so you may just have a chance at getting it. Actually, you have a VERY GOOD chance, as this one last war sword has been there for an excess of 3 months! Chris- what do you think of the Erbach? I like the aesthetics, but I haven't heard much about how well it cuts... thanks! -Slayer

Slayer: for my part, I think the Erbach cuts pretty well...not for heavy target thought...and a tad bit whippy but not to the point of ShooterMike's Arbedo whippy...there's a review here, look it up! All in all, IMO: a very fine sword for the price.
About the War sword: I always liked this sword -ordered it a while ago, but it was back ordered at the time so settled for the Erbach which I don't regret at all- with a nice rewrap on the grip...would be a nice entry level example of the type...I don't know about the overflex thought, would have to see it for myself...one man's sword whippyness is another man's acceptable amount of flex sometimes...
