The hilt is basically Venitian not Swiss and the blade is well you know kinda scimitarish. The name is the only influence of Wheel of Time though they did use two handed sabers. Some of the Warders I've made4 in the past were more book orientated. It is after all a fantasy sword with alot of historical influence. The blades Sonny got were spot on profile wise but not the same thickness nore distal taper and the original had a sharpened false edge. I think Sonny and the guys at VA did a swell job, glad it turned out fine. Very nice honest review and pics by the way. It is hard to photograph dark green unless in sunlight which makes it show up true.

Hi all.. New to the forum.. Just got my Warder yesterday.. Not sure about it.. The quality control seems a bit off.. The pommel is skewed about 1/2 an inch and makes handling a tad odd. The cross guard is off as well.. One would think that for the money being charged that they could get the alignment correct. I may have to send this back if I can't rectify the problems myself. Anyone else have these types of issues with Valiant?

New edit: Starting at about 4 inches pat the guard to abot 7 1/2 there is a slight blackish mark that looks like a heat mark from sharpening.it is only about 1/2 mm wide and on only one sdie of the blade, so it is very hard to miss.
David, it should not be too hard to straighten he guard and pommel, just loosen the hex nut, straighten and retighten.
