This Wakizashi is sweet! I've never been interested in those shorter swords but now I'm seriously considering buying one

thanks man this Waki is so solid for it's size it's scary. looks like a toy but feels like a sharpened lead pipe! I love it I ran the edge across a strop only a couple of times and I could probably shave with it now. I'll most likely pick up another one soon to keep as is and go on a bottle destroying rampage. I could see myself wielding two of these guys in an Escrima style flurry. I sent a pic to Cecil and he said that at first he didn't even recognize his own sword. he loved the acid etched Hamon

I love the acid etched hamon too... looks really good. but I think it would look much better if it were hybrid polished prior to etching...

Thanks Frank +1 You had me until the lead pipe part DJ - thank you. yeah, that does sound strange now that I'm reading it again. I meant it in the way that you can just feel the amount of force behind your swing even though it's a small blade. as in it feels as strong as a lead pipe and not as in it handles like one. sorry about that. I do think I would be able to wield two of them with almost the same agility and effectiveness as my 27" x 1" hickory Escrima sticks. mtrewyn - thanks man. I should be ready to post my KC29 by next week. I also did a review on my 26 here /index.cgi?board=swordcustom&action=display&thread=16036

Holy Cow, that is GORGEOUS I've never seen anything like what you did with this wak. Absolutely incredible...wow. What an artist you are to be able to see something so well in your mind and then bring it to fruition with the materials. Really, really unique. I'm going to PM you about the electroplating thingamagig doohickey. ~wp

Fascinating. I'm not into the Japanese blades, but a beautiful piece of work is a beautiful piece of work and this is a beautiful piece of work. Silver parts were too expensive so you built your own silver plating set up? Wicked cool. Have a karma, man.

Mine is the first generation with glued on tsuka and non tradition wraping .I add multicolor thread for extra traction . The rough texture on the saya is not intention , I just can not paint it smooth
