Gents:
Does anyone know why we call a particular knife style the "Persian fighter"?
Have we always called it that, or is it a recent innovation? From reviewing typical knives known under that appellation, it seems that ---generally--- they display some yataghan like characteristics, but other than that, I can't even guess.

Persian fighter is a blanket term for the sweeping S style blades, as there wasn't many emulated utility persian style blades, they are mostly designated as fighters.
