Must say I agree; the brass is lovely, the silvery-whatever...it's okay, but the brass really just pops out. The blade profile is what pulled me to it first. Lovely little slash-and-stab knife.

Their monosteel blades can get to shaving sharp and are very good at holding an edge. They also have very nice hamon if you are so inclined to polish/hybrid polish them.

Mine was shaving-sharp when I got it. I've just used it since, and don't have the proper equipment to get it back to that level reliably. Of course, if I had the $150-ish that it would cost to buy and ship their new monosteel Bosnian...I'd have it. www.valiantco.com/world/Bosnian.JPGThat is just a sexy knife. I also quite like their Camp Knife ( www.valiantco.com/hybrid/CampKnife.JPG ) but that's a bit more. Oddly...not much else from their line particularly grabs my attention... They discontinued the one I really wanted, and I can't even remember what it was called anymore.
