Here's a little mini-review:
The best thing about this weapon is that it feels balanced in the hand as opposed to the topheavy feel of the longer brass-handled replicas. The blade is made out of fairly thin stock, a little over 1/8", and it is distally tapered with a wedge-shaped cross section as well. (Some of the brass-handled jobs are made from steel 3/16" thick with no distal taper or wedge-shaped cross section (except at the edge), accounting for the topheavy feel.) The POB was about 1 1/4" forward of the handle.
The handle was somewhat oversized. The blade had an edge, but it wasn't sharp enough to cut paper. I believe they would have done better to market it with a wooden scabbard instead of a leather sheath.

I'm familiar with that thread. Would God that I had the time and resources to do that kind of work.
