I don't think any self-respecting orc would be caught dead with something that impractical. I don't think orcs and self-respect go together. Anyhow it looks a bit better in the series. Indeed they do not. But even THEY wouldn't be caught with this.

Indeed it doesn't and therefore it is not the epitome of safeness, you shouldn't use it unless you break it down first and make sure there are no cracks

Right. After the hedge trimmer, here we have a rake. What's next: the lawnmower-sword with full tang? Slogan: "Take care of your yard with our swords! (with two bamboo pegs and full tang)" or "Our swords are yard-ready"...

I can see it now, news headline reads "little johnny, not so awesome"
In a tragic occurrence today whilst playing with a sword like object little johnny injured himself with a ridiculous contraption from the anime bleach. Witnesses described the events leading upto the event. His friend sam (12) made this statement "he was standing on a rock with his new sword and he shouted "I am teh awesome bow before my zanpataaaargh." It was by sheer happenstance that an ambulance was passing at the time and after twelve hours surgery doctors were able to reattach his fingers and semprini. Little johnny has vowed to learn about real swords in future and to never touch one of these anime weapons again. An expert told us "these swords are ridiculously dangerous and no one should attempt to wield them, no matter how experienced you think you are, they are unpredictable and harmful. I can't believe they release such ridiculous things on the market and then market them as being solid and viable."

To be at the very least fair, there are some companies making non-SLO versions of swords that can actually be salvaged, like zhisword, but nothing this patently ridiculous or dangerous. It's all anime's fault!

Poor, poor Zabimaru. What have those brutes done to you? Edit: Or this! *sigh* I wouldn't call that a fantasy sword. It's a Type XVIIIa with a rather fancy hilt. Well, to be fair, Fuji Kujaku is supposed to be kinda stupid, since the spirit of the sword is making a deliberate effort to be less useful then it should be.

DU-SITH By Jake PowningI wouldn't call that a fantasy sword. It's a Type XVIIIa with a rather fancy hilt. Well yea, but it's the type of sword that it would be a fantasy to own. And it came from the designer's imagination, rather that from a specific historical example, even though it would be plausible as a historical sword (though that grip is pushing it a bit, lol). After all, isn't this just a Type XIIa with a somewhat fancy hilt?: But I really don't mean to start a splitting-hairs discussion about how we define "fantasy sword" or not. To each his own. Either way, these swords are hundreds of times better than that horrid abomination that started this thread! Anyone wanna lend me a few grand to make some of these fantasies a reality? ;D ;D ;D

LOL @ swordchucks
Saw that in a Bruce Lee flick once...well, the guy had spikes that were push button activated to come out of the ends of the nunchaku. Not that it did him any good, Bruce just buried'm in his gut and kept it movin.
