I agree with most of you- customization is a personal thing; an outside buyer may not see it as such a great or cool thing. The analogy with modded cars was spot on.

looks like shooter mike's work ;D and I must dissagree custom does not always equal less value custom bikes custom cars usual fetch more just on the parts value of after market mods Depends what kind of cars your talking about. I suppose maybe for newer cars but for "collector" cars over 20 years old STOCK is what gets the smart money. You'll learn this if you go to or watch any auto auctions. You'll see cars with over $100K in them sell for less than one third that! Some custom jobs will get good money but very few.

yeah I'll give you that big money collectors want all stock original cars but thats when knowing the market comes in if you got a 30+yo car sell it to a collector if you have a tricked out street racer sell it to a racer right same with swords you're selling a $500+ custom or antique go sell it at sfi or auction house if you have a souped up beater with a nice sheath and good grip sell it here and get a really good price for it
