Gus and Christian developed this blade prior to the beginning of or partnership so you would have to get those guys to comment on the fullers. However, this is a Signature Sword, Meaning this sword is supposed to have Christian's influence. We have always followed the historically plausible not historically accurate model when developing this line. With that said, when Christian suggested this particular blade I thought it was the perfect way to separate our Gladius from all of the hundreds of India made clones. For those who have to have what everyone else has there are plenty of sources. For those who want a bad ass performing cutting sword.... well, you know. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Sonny Oh and yes it is brass

I agree, historically plausible, and there's nothing wrong with that. If I wasn't so hung up on historical accuracy for the gladius I want I'd probably have gotten one already. I'm in full support of swordsmiths and designers to keep building on what we already know, and putting their own style into what they do. So I'm not sure I would even compare the actium to a deepeeka gladius. I think it's two different markets we're talking about here. It looks good, no doubt about that, and I eagerly await news on its performance.

Well I had always planned on getting a gladius eventually, and I think when I finally get around to it it'll pretty much have to be one of these. That is a very nice looking sword there. It's a bit longer than I expected, but maybe my expectations were just off? I don't really know a whole lot about Roman swords.

Any interest in a base model Actium? Leather over wood core. No Brass? Sonny I'd be very interested in this...
