I'll have to re-watch the movie, I don't recall a zero man.

thats what i love about this forum. a bunch of people helping to inspire others Indeed, i've seen this thread title for days. Even looked at it last night without knowing. To just make this short Shoboshi you have inspired me to no end. Been thinking of working on something for myself. But nothing of this level of craftsmanship. That is until i saw and actually paid attention to this tread. It'll take some to to get everything together. And even more time to work out all the details. But again inspired to no end. And sometime within the year i'd like to try something like this. Thanks and +1 EDIT Oh and Ujio is the guy that give Cruise the bokken beating. Watched that scene sooo many times.

Ujio, couldn't remember the name. Thanks for that and the karma. Glad to be of help and glad you liked my work. It was an experiment more than anything but glad people seem to be liking it. It's a start.
Look forward to seeing your work. Be sure to take your time. And be sure to post.

Rewatched it; now I remember why I hate it so much.
Nifty armor though, I look forward to seeing it.

That helmet came out gorgeous! You'll definitely have to keep up on progress with this. Any chance you'd consider doing a commission? I want some light, good-looking armor, but I don't want to pay $20,000.00 for the one I want. Let me know!
+1 for the absolute awesomeness of that kabuto. Well done!

While I can't speak for the other forumite, I just plain didn't like the movie, and I probably wouldn't have even if Tom Cruise wasn't in it, although the fact he was the 'last samurai' left me more than a little irked. I like the old samurai movies, like Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Seven Samurai, the Samurai Trilogy...anything with Toshiro Mifune in it is good. -MidoriKurogami of Sword N Armory.

Manly Eater of Steaks-- ( I love that name, makes me laugh every time I see it.) Thanks. It's coming along.
Snall-- Thanks brother. Things are moving along slowly.
SNA-- Thank you for the compliments. And thanks for the interest. I'm pretty leery of doing something on commission at the moment. But I may be willing in future. Let me see how the entire suit turns out and what I learn from it and we'll see.

Well, the Satsuma Rebellion sure as hell wasn't bringing swords to a gun fight, that's for sure. Hammy acting. Too big a "thing" crammed into such a short movie. I just don't think it was done proper. M.

Sounds good, Shoboshi! Keep me posted! ^_^
I completely agree, Eversburg. I too felt like they didn't do the story line justice, and the actor(s) didn't help. Could have done a better job over the course of a series of movies and WITHOUT Tom Cruise!
