I was wanting a couple pictures of my swords to hang in my office and I noticed some nice light coming in from one of my windows. So I shot a couple pictures of some swords I recently did some hilt work on, and tried to make them a bit "artsy". I liked the way the light worked on them. I have the full size shots available on my website if anyone is interested in using them for anything. The pictures posted here are a lot less resolution, so download them for the highest resolution, they are about 1 meg each. yeoldegaffers.com/sword_photos/han_knight.jpgyeoldegaffers.com/sword_photos/wind_classic.jpg-gaffer

Your work is starting to look like that of a professional...I'm just waiting for you to hang that sign out of your front door, so to speak.

I thought gaffers worked microphones... Well, they may at times, but actually they are generally the head electrician on a movie set, and work much more with lighting. here is a definition from widipedia: A gaffer in the motion picture industry is the head of the electrical department, responsible for the execution (and sometimes the design) of the lighting plan for a production. Gaffer is a traditional British English word for an older man or boss. It is essentially a variant on grandfather, used as a term of respect for a village elder, and applied to those in charge of workers since the 19th century. The term as applies to me is for grandfather. -gaffer

I would think that term is much more established, even tho the modern term may be more widely known...except for the likes of Sam's Old Gaffer Gamgee.

NICE pics! I especially like the first one. It would be really nice in a banner format for the SBG Manufacturer's site makeover Thanks for sharing, Debbie

NICE! I'd vote for that logo, no doubt about it. Have you submitted it to Paul? Nice work, both on the pictures and the SMG logo design. +1 -Slayer

That is a good logo design! I like that one better than the other choices that were available.

That would get my vote for the banner. Is it too late to enter it?
