Can you remove the leather locket at all? While the leather one is nice, the metal one was better. I think that lion image kind of detracts from it, in my opinion. M. I would have prefered the metal locket, it was part of what I thought was so attractive about the sword in the first place. I have not tried to removed the leather locket, but I know you can.

Well, if you can remove it, have a go at making your own metal locket I might myself. That lion...bugs me, and I don't now why. M.

Shadowhowler, didn't you say that you were doing a review on the Kriegschwert too?

Shadowhowler, didn't you say that you were doing a review on the Kriegschwert too? I was going to, awhile ago, but I ended up trading it and ChrisA did a review of it so, I never did bother. I actually traded it for the exact reasons that, from what you said in the other thread, YOU would like it. It was a bit heavier and more 'solid' or 'robust' then the VA Practical Long sword... and unlike you, I was looking for the lighter more flickable longsword. I think you would like the Krieg quite a bit. It was VERY attractive tho... the whole package. A very cool looking sword. did you check out ChrisA's review? /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=10300

Yes, I have looked at Chris's review multiple times. I like to compare different reviews though, since it gives me a better impression of the sword. I do plan on getting the Kriegschwert, but I think that I might wait until the VA custom sword shop comes out first.

You are wise to look at more then one perspective... but in this case, my own views on the Kriegschwert mirror Chris's pretty much... its a really good sword. I may even pick up another one down the road.

Delicious krieg is delicious. The reviews all seem great so far; I think that might be my first Signature.

The regal Kriegschwert looks even better. I really wish that I had enough money to get it, but I don't. I still plan on getting the signature version, unless I think that the VA custom shop has something better to offer.

To me it sounds like it will be a custom sword shop with Practical, Signature, and Regal sword parts. I could be wrong, but that is the impression that I get.

I don't know what sword(s) to get. I looked at someone's Albion, and all hope was lost.
