That is definately a nice specimen of a claymore. I have always been a fan of large two-handed european swords, especially the claymore. The song was awesome too. I have one question for you - What exercise routine do you use? I am asking this because judging from your video, YOUR ARMS ARE HUGE!!!
I read through it and then saw the comments, and I was thinking "yeah that was pretty well done, I'm not exactly sure why people are saying it's the most enjoyable ever" and then I played the video.
Best. Review. Ever.
Needs to be adapted into a full motion film. +1 brother. -1 if you convert totally to Euro swords.

BTW, been to your neighborhood walmart lately?^^^ Somebody implied the hanwei claymore is heavy, I daresay they have not experienced the models from generation 2.
Yes, I have. They have a very small selection of weights, and most of them are crap. They do have a few dumbbells, which I need to get sometime.
I will be 50 years old in a few months and I have Psoriatic Arthritis which effects almost all my joints except my elbows. I am able to maintain a decent build by working out from January through March ( 3 months ) each year using the most basic equipment ( Two 30 lb dumbells, a 70 lb curling bar and a chest-press/ lat pull-down machine ( $100 used). I work through the pain for three months and supplement with one protein powder drink per day ( after my workout), as well as a 29-complex multi-vitamin and omega-3 capsules. Each year I am able to get back my size and shape in a very short time. I am a mesomorph and I have great genetics as well as great muscle memory but I feel if I can get where I am so easily, anyone can do it.
The area of the body that has been the most difficult for me to "bulk" is my forearms near my wrist. I would be satisfied with two 35 pound dumbells, a 45 pound barbell, and two 45 pound benching weights.

Near the wrists is a hard area , as there is really only sinew, tendons and such there. I don't directly work my forearms. They get worked just by doing the rest of the body.
It is obviously working for you. Do you exercise 6 days in a row, or every other day?
January through March, Day 1- chest and triceps Day 2- back and biceps Day 3- shoulders Day 4- off
I don't strictly stick to this schedule because I sometimes am away or something so if I skip a day or two I just pick up where I left off. Due to arthritis I have a hard time working legs ( quads, hamstrings, calves ) and abs but I try to fit a bit in here and there if I am able. After March the work-outs gradually thin out to pretty much nothing as I spend a lot of time doing other things ( drinking beer, fishing, LOL.). I start up again after the Christmas/New Years food and alcohol binging.
nerdthenord: Hi, I'm still alive. Doing well again all things considered

mrstabby: Mine gets pressed to the top as well, but that way the tip gets ground of, don't like that either. Unfortunately I'm an edge-perfectionist. Also one wrong move when unsheathing and the throat nicks the edge on either side.

AndiTheBarvarian: Perhaps I've got one from the batch for Matt Easton ?!?

AndiTheBarvarian: When I draw the saber it's automatically pressed with the spine to the scabbard so there's space for the edge to not touch the scabbard. When the false edge starts it's released but can be carefully draw completely without touching the scabbard.

AndiTheBarvarian: Too little gap for a needle, so also I see no way to get the glue in.
Mar 31, 2024 8:02:34 GMT
mrstabby: I was easily able to poke through the glue on all of my Windlass swords/daggers, then it just seems to wick in forever, it never was thick. I can't imagine how there isn't any dulling though, unless yours is less wide or the scabbard is bigger.

AndiTheBarvarian: There's not really an opening on mine, very good fit of guard and blade and some glue or epoxy in it. Since my scabbard doesn't dull the edge too I seem to be on the lucky side with Windlass this time.

mrstabby: Maybe it screams in pain now, but I like it..

mrstabby: PSA: Give your Windlass swords some superglue, they appreciate it. My 1796 drank 4g through the opening between guard and blade, now it rings much louder and vibrates much less.

mrstabby: "Sorry Mr. Johnson, I need to store my sword for a few hundread years until someone worthy comes and gets it, mind if I stick it here?"

AndiTheBarvarian: First you have to try getting it into!

mrstabby: What now, pulling a sword out of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Intriguing!
Mar 29, 2024 12:49:08 GMT
AndiTheBarvarian: Dwayne Johnson disagrees!
Mar 28, 2024 19:38:14 GMT
rschuch: As anyone who's seen Excalibur knows, getting the sword INTO the rock isn't the problem, it's getting it back out again.

durinnmcfurren: Movie turned out better than it had any right to be considering how many times a blade was shoved into rock. Yes, even once would be too much, but it was way more than once.

Ramses1079: Yeah me too, which is a shame because he’s a good author. I guess that’s like when your favorite band releases a new album, and there’s always one or two tracks that you’re like “what were they thinking?”
