Musashi Akuma
won that musashi akuma on united backyard cutters.( youtube group)
retail price 149.99
this sword as a value around 100.00.
sword of might sales it for 79.99.( that is where it comes from at least, I think lol)
I won that one, but I review this sword for the value of it, and not for the 10 buck ticket I bought to win it ok.
the measurement are
Blade: 27"
tsuka: 11"
Overall: 39 1/4"
Weight: 2.54 Lbs
when I won that katana, second price,
I had 2 feelings.
the first one was yes yes yes I won.
the second one was, when I tried to find the sword, oh no, the value of that one is so cheap.
but lets see what is up with that katana together.
it first arrived in a cardboard box and when I opened it I had the surprise of seeing a katana box in it.
look at this.
a nice black and red box with a handle, keeping the sword safe in it.
I finally open the box to see that there is a stand for it.
as you can see, there are something wrote on it, do not know what it mean but it is beautifull.
it gives a special look the the kit.
when I first took it in my hands, I felt good right away.
the tsuka is well wraped in a black ito and white rayskin under it.
double peged.
a gold dragon menuki decorate the tsuka,
it looks a little cheap but still looks good under it.
the pommel( don’t remember the real name) fits very well with the tsuba made really solid and thick.
as you can see it is a kind of devil handeling a sword on it.
now for the blade.
the blade is really shyning.
at first look it looks a little rough sharpened but still looks good.
lets see the video I did with it.
to see if it cuts.
this sword, for those who want a real katana and do not have enough money,
I will tell ya,
buy it now.
as you all know i bought( 2 swords) for 500.00 shipping included.
and they do not vallue half of that sword.
it is marvellous to see a so low price on a sword like that.
so my scoring for that sword is
Historical Accuracy: N/A
Handling: 5 / 5
Structural Integrity: 4/5 (because of the cheap look of the menuki)
Fit and Finish: 5 / 5 (looks very good)
Value for Money: 5 / 5( between 79.99 and 100.00 depending from who you buy it)
Total: 4.75/5
for that price guys you will not find anything like that for sure.
