The Blade is advertised to have a HRC55 and made from 5160 steel,
the Blade is quite stiff similar to my Cheness Shura in flexibility and a lot stiffer than my Hanwei Hand and a half.
The polish is very good and even, with some nice Stampings on the Blade, K C and a star.
The Hand Guard and fish tail pommel are steel and and at the end of the pommel you can see the tang has been peened over.
The blade comes very sharp again about the same as my Shura.
I took the sword for a large air cutting session it handles very nicely,
i did read about some people did not like the transition from pommel to the grip but i did
not find this a problem at all even without gloves this is very comfortable to use.
You can use this sword single handed with ease, but i prefer to use 2 hands.
I did cut a few water filled bottles, all were cut without batting, and no resistance in the cut could be felt,
im sure this could handle much bigger targets,
in the spring i may cut some tatami with it when i next stock up.
The sword comes with a thick leather scabbard which fits very well and has 2 brass eyelets for suspension.
Shipping to the UK cost $57 which is very reasonable the sword cost $206.50 in
the Kris Cutlery Sale.
thanks for reading this mini review, hope you have found some of it interesting
I am very impressed with this purchase i like the Medieval looks, Build quality, fit and finish, strength, value all 5/5.
If your thinking about buying one just do it!
