I posted this question in an ancient thread, and was mildly censured, so I shall repeat myself with a new thread:
Where is the Albion Baron carrying the 11 ounces of weight over the Duke model? While the Baron's blade starts wider, it has noticeable profile taper, where the slightly narrower Duke has almost none. Is there that much difference in distal profile between the two? I own an Albion Knight, and it's distal taper is significant past the point of percussion. I'd assume the Baron is the same, so is the Duke universally thinner from a distal perspective? I've handled/owned a number of Albions, but never laid eyes or hands on either of these two.

Duke's an inch and a half shorter. That alone would likely account for a couple ounces.
As per KoA's listing, don't have a measurement for thickness range. Probably something there. (Could involve distal taper, might just be near the base.)
And even if not in the blade thickness, Baron's PoB is a good inch farther back--so it's very likely to have a significantly heavier pommel.
Some combination of these.

Heavier furniture and a thicker and longer blade. I owned an Albion Baron, it is quite a thick and stout blade for its typology.

The Baron is just such a beast...I was a little overwhelmed when I picked mine up the first time, lol
