This is a nice entry level Eaglehead Spadroon. Overall it is very solid and still retaining some of the blue and gilt. This is an honest fighting officer's sword, it is not a flimsy dress version (which a lot of Eaglehead's are). The blade was broken and repaired in period, it has been brazed back together with bronze and is very strong, even with the repair. It has a bone handle and a brass hilt. Overall, a very nice example of an Early American sword that I would put around 1812-1815 given the 5-ball styling and larger spadroon blade. SOLD. PP F&F preferred. US Shipping Included. Interesting, sorry I missed it. ADTharp, it looks like you've set up a neat service to allow people to interact with these antiques. I've been doing something similar (though less formalized) for several years with my collection. I'll have to check SBG more often.
