Need help with 2 projects:
1) How would one make a Kydex strap for a Wakizashi where the cord is? To make sure it does not slip off.
2) Safe way to make a Kydex sheath with only 600mm to 300mm in terms of size? Sword is like 18 inches.

1) Sorry, I am not sure I understand, you mean something to hold the saya on the blade? Like with fixed blades, that the blade does not slip out? 2) There are essentially 2 methods, riveting or glueing them up like scales, the one closer to the mouth of the saya needing to be under the next one and so on. Now you either mold this as is to the sword and then rivet it all together or you could user some solvent welding, there are some special solvent bonding solutiuons you can buy and they seem to work. Overlap the platet, bond them and use an abrasive and heat to flatten out the thing and you should have one bigger piece. EDIT: Maybe I misunderstood, do you mean because of heat safe or as in stability? Kydex sould be able to be molded from 60°C and this won't be enough to damage anything on the sword. You are easily able to do this with a set of leather gloves. A heat gun works best for me, hair dryer does in a pinch but has to few settings and can easily burn the kydex. You can either put 2 layers, one above one below, heat them and mold them, then rivet or glue them together, or you fold a bigger plate so you only have to do one side with rivets/glue.
