Not sword related, but I have discovered the amazing wonder that is the angle grinder.

no kidding there were a couple years there I had to use the edge of the stone on a bench grinder to cut stuff, it took like...10 minutes just to chop off a segment of crowbar I was gonna turn into a spike for a hammer to test the strength of copper brazing
that brazed on spike is still going strong btw, but an iberian mace is what I really wanted to make, if only I had $20 for a walmart angle grinder, lol

Yes, totally agree. They're also handy for flattening and polishing stone with diamond polishing pads.
