Hi everyone, recently got an Albion Agincourt second hand. It's got some spots of brown rust on the guard and Pommel. Any tips on how to remove them? Will post pictures later. Thanks.

Ballistol usually works - with a rough cloth. If not, Metal glo polish with very fine grit wet/dry paper (1500 and up)

For rust removal I like to use either a bronze wool pad , if the metal part has a finish or existing patina... Or steel wool , if the metal is in the "white"....add a little oil and buff / rub the rust off.
A light touch here and buffing in the same direction may be good as well.
As far as oil goes... KROIL , 3 N 1 oil , RemOil , CLP...all have worked well for me. Andy

For light surface rust I like to use aluminum foil. Just crumple it into a little ball, add some water and lightly scrub the surface. You'll see the water turn black. Use that (it's aluminum oxide). As the aluminum oxide is harder than the steel and the aluminum softer, it only polishes. Work quite well if there is no pitting.
Afterwards first clean with water and then re-oil (I use odourless mineral oil).
