Several months ago I saw a copper tsuba in this forum which was treated in such a way that it developed a lovely dark red patina, almost like blood. But the thread was very old, estimated around 2010 and I cant find the picture anymore. Maybe someone can help me out, or already has an idea on how to archieve this? I think it was made by cottontail customs, but Im not sure and I didnt find anything on his website...
Best regards
Haon

hmmmm... I don't remember making a tsuba with rokusho that was as dark as you're describing in 2010 but maybe I was posting a pic I'd found on the net, per whatever the discussion was about. here's a couple of things I found that were pretty dark, I guess. I did lose a whole hd worth of pics when my old pc crashed years ago, could have been something I've forgotten about. (a ring, not a tsuba)

All great looking stuff there. But I especially like the one in the middle of the third row down. Beautiful color. I never saw anything like that before.

Thank you all for your suggestions, maybe my memory is also a little blurred after that time. But at least I know now that Rokusho can get fairly dark, and not only the colour of caramel
