I thought so too. Not typical, but didn't seem too far out there that traditionalists would hate it. On the other hand it might convince a few mall ninjas to venture into real sword land also.

Clay tempering is not a thing. It's clay hardening. Tempering's done without clay...

the fittings look familiar to the Ron Chen Lone Wolf katana... also the hamon looks weird, but its nice to see a wolf themed production katana
