Nightmare fuel, look up andrewsarchus. I've been reading about La Bette since I was 9 years old! That extinct animal checks a lot of the boxes for the beast of Gevaudan.

Really old caves in the region, how cool (though unlikely) would an old relic surviving into modern times be?
