Hi all. With my recent arrow making shenanigans I'm looking to buy some broadheads to balance out my otherwise bodkin-heavy arrow collection. With that in mind, does anyone have any experience with the GDFB arrow head selection? I know they won't be the greatest but that's fine, that's the great things about home-made arrows, they're cheap! Also, does anyone know the socket size for the aforementioned heads? it drives me absolutely crazy when people advertise arrow heads and don't describe the socket size

That is a new company to me and I couldn’t help but check out the price of Hanwei Short Bearded Axe, #2043. Their price $126.00 vs Kult of Athena’s $44.95. I went no farther. I hate it too when a company doesn’t give complete info when advertising. You could write. But then you may wind up on their mailing list, which could be sold to others.

It's a New Zealand company so their prices are inevitably more expensive than retailers in the US (the price is also NZD). KOA have a small Arrowhead collection and their shipping to NZ is more than the heads themselves (though that situation is not limited to KOA). This is one of those few occasions where I do not order from the US. I'm already on Superior swords' mailing list and I can assure you they're on the level! The lack of proper details for the GDFB arrow heads seems to be a problem with retailers throughout the net.
Edit to add: sent them an email so I'll post the result here.

Nothing is made in my country so everything is imported and shipping is outrageous. On top of that there is customs; the government wants its share.

Sam, cheers for the link. Those points are actually bodkins (which I have plenty of). I'm actually after medieval broadheads. Specifically like this sucker here:

From looking at the GDFB main website it would seem that the socket size is 9mm. This should work with my 10mm shafts after some careful tapering.
