Glad to see you bringing your designs together in one place, Luna. As a testament to the pure sweetness of your designs, there's 3 designs I can't wait to have Brendan of Fable Blades make: the Day and Night, Straven, and Swan Neck.
Out of curiosity, where did the name Straven come from?

Aw, thanks!
As for the name Straven....I have no clue. I thought it sounded neat.
That's the one with feathers, so maybe there's a feathers-bird-raven-straven line of unconscious thinking there. Stab + Raven = Straven?

That would make sense. What's odd is I normally dislike tassels on swords, but the feathers were the first thing that drew me to the design (the second being the pseudo-wakizashi design). Maybe it's just the over-sized tassels you see on production Chinese swords that I dislike, simply because they are over-sized.
As for the Day and Night, it's almost a lightsaber made of steel, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a popular one for Brendan.

I'm determined to have that viking sword made in steel...y'know, right after I stop being broke.

I'm seconding that last bit; right after I stop being broke, I think the Straven will be one of my first custom blades, alongside my own design, Ithin... Though, now that I think about it, I should probably put more effort into the actual sketch so that it doesn't threaten bleeding eyeballs whenever people look at it.

As I've said plenty enough in the original thread, FRIGGIN' AWESOME STUFF, MAN! +1, to make up for our loss of old stats, lol.
Think I'll put up my doodles too, as I originally made my own thread just to copy your awesomeness. Might as well try to copy it here too!
...Mebbe I'll call it "Dom T.'s Doodles", cuz it's got, like, alliteration and stuff.

Thanks, Jim and Dom. It's hard to go wrong with Alliteration and stuff. ....Wait, no it isn't. Now that I think about it, it's actually pretty easy to go wrong with it. Don't decide to do such dirty deplorable deeds, Dom. But you haven't, so no worries.

****UPDATE****This isn't a new design per se, but here's a more detailed rendering/slight re-imagining of the hilt of my "Montoya" rapier design, elaborated on for a fellow forumite.

The thanks deserve to go your way brother.
You've put a ton of work into your renderings, and you put them out there for all to see, comment upon, drool over, and draw inspiration from.
In a perfect world, I would have Brenno busy for a month of Sundays turning out designs of yours for my collection. There is a certain one that I would send bags of dough to Mr Lundemo to acquire also.
Alas, for we do not live in that perfect world, and the Prison term associated with Armored Car heists has me scared, so I must save some coin.

There's only a prison term if you get caught! @luna: That is an excellent re-imagining of an already handsome sword; I've said it before and I'll say it again, but damn, I wish I could steal that drawing talent of yours. I have a few designs of my own to crank out (and not all of them swords).

I just might have to do that, too, especially since mine is one of the first on my list to get (after a few production swords I've dying to have forever, but it's first on my list of customs).

Many thanks, Brett! I LOVE that movie, and I couldn't think of a more appropriate name for my swooshy rapier.
