RIP, I’m so sad to come here for the first time in ages and see this. Prayers for his family. I used to be quite active here years ago, user name was wnydel. I remember him well from back then.

Great seller. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Even came wrapped super well. My son said it might be easier getting a sword out of a stone than getting the sword out of the box. But I appreciated the time and care that went into making sure the sword traveled safely.
I also found out he customizes swords and makes scabbards. I have my eye on a couple swords he sent me pics of.
Highly recommend.

Using it, as in test cutting, or just displaying? With just "dust" cleaning, I have an Arms & Armor Cavalier Rapier of a good 20 years old that's certainly pristine. And a couple Windlass pieces of over thirty years old, well-used but well-cleaned, pretty close to new-looking. Based on antiques that have never been extensively used, that's not even close to how long something could go and look virtually new though. That is very encouring news. I was thinking 10 years might be a good run with the best of care and display only. Glad to hear they can go a lot longer than that.

How long is it possible to keep a sword and have it show no signs of aging?
I think the longest I ever owned any sword was three years. But I was wondering what is possible?
If I ever get a really high end sword, like a barta or powning, I'm going to want to preserve that for a very long time.

I would just give Albion a call directly and ask if they have anything ready if you're not particular to which exact blade you want. Usually they're pretty good over the phone. Otherwise you'll be in the same boat as the rest of us. Thanks! That is a great idea. It doesn't hurt to try.

I am trying to find a used albion. Simply to avoid the wait. I was going to order an Arn through KOA this weekend, but the thought of waiting a year plus is giving me second thoughts.
Do you know if certain swords are made quicker than others? If any of there cheaper/popular ones like the Knight would be made quicker? 6-8 months is one thing, but a year...I don't know if I have that kind of patience.
