Don't feel bad, it's natural to want one of his pieces now that we know there will never be anymore, from what I understand all the stock that he and shan-an had completed prior to his unfortunate passing will be eventually available again, but they have put a complete stand still on his current products out of respect,
which I think is a great Idea, making them available straight away would have felt very dis-respectful to his memory for those who were close to him,
this way they are able to honor his memory when the time is right, just hang in there and keep checking his site and albion for eventual updates.

Heck, try e-mailing them. Also, Albion Europe has some of his "Conan" pieces for sale, for whatever that's worth. --Edward P.S. I have a Jody Samson sword. I intend to be buried with it .

I intend to be buried with it . pics? . . . as requested: My Jody Samson katana-- or at least, Jody's interpretation of a katana. . . . limited edition, hand-ground by Jody. That's his signature, "07" for the year it was made, and "#04 of 10" underneath it. Yeah, I want to be buried with it . --Edward P.S. In other news, I have a new camera now! Expect better pictures and *videos* in my next review .

Sotark-- Thanks for the karma . Seriously, e-mail them and ask --politely-- about possibly purchasing a weapon. Last I checked, Samson's company isn't selling to the public yet, so anything they do would be a favor to the buyer . If they do it, great. If not . . . well, then it's a waiting game, I guess. --Edward P.S. Note to self-- find a place waaaay out in the middle of nowhere to be buried, and pay off the local authorities to burn records of where my sword-laden corpse is interred ;D.

P.S. Note to self-- find a place waaaay out in the middle of nowhere to be buried, and pay off the local authorities to burn records of where my sword-laden corpse is interred. Naaah! The classy thing to do is build an enormous tomb laden with traps and monsters, and dare people to come and steal your sword. Oh, curses are good, too! ;D Cheers Marc E PS- And yeah, that is one puuuuuurty sword!

I have 3 of Jody's swords one (my leafblade) was one of his personal pieces. I have been thinking about selling on of them (not the short sword ARJUNA that one is the wifes)I'm out of work and money is real tight.I'm really fighting not to sell one but you cant live in a sword but when you have something you can never get again it's a hard decision the leafblade is named Xerxes, the curved sword is named Talon and the short sword is named Arjuna. BTW hey Ecovolo I was saving up for a katana from Jody and was close to getting one when he passed. I love that it is a uncommon katana not one of the generic looking ones I see on most for sale web sites,I bet it cuts like a monster.

I love that it is a uncommon katana not one of the generic looking ones I see on most for sale web sites,I bet it cuts like a monster. It cuts pretty well, but due to the unusual geometry I find myself putting more muscle into the cut than with a traditional katana. Then again, this could also be due to poor form on my part. Still *very* worth the money, though. I recommend anyone could can afford one to get their hands on it. --Edward P.S. I saw one of his pieces for sale on SFI too- and the guy did not seem all that eager to part with it, but necessity called or calls. Not up my alley but I can appreciate excellent craftsmanship, no matter what quarter it hails from. May he rest in peace.
