Does anyone have experience with the Musashi 1060 katana from trueswords.com or the Musashi damascus 109L katana from handmadesword.com. Keith

Don't know how to link I'm new to this. The musashi1060 is the carbon steel best miyamoto sword $84.99. The Damscus is at Handmadesword.com and click the samurai katana tab.

The Best Miyamoto is from the Takeo series and is the 783 from Musashiswords.com. Review of it: /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=9674 The blade is TH and a very good cutter! I got a lemon (on the fittings) but that is pretty rare! I would suggest it!

The Musashi Best Miyamoto is a nice sword. Good through hardened blade and fittings for the price. Like Drache said, its a good cutter for the price. There are a few other swords in that price range with I guess DH blades on them.
The other sword you're talking about, from Handmadeswords.com, well I'd advise to go with the Musashi Best Miyamoto before that one. In my opinion the lower end swords from handmadeswords.com have much to be desired for the price. Now things may have changed since my last experience with them (which by the way wasn't a bad one) so its your choice. The Musashi brand swords have been a proven good buy in the past though with a low percentage of lemons.
