I visited Durham Cathedral today, and in their Treasury they have a 13th century falchion, called The Conyers Falchion. Here is a link to a web article about it. bjorn.foxtail.nu/h_conyers_eng.htmDoes anyone now if there are any Modern functional replicas of this Falchion?

Interesting stuff Kingrat +1. This sword always seems to pop up in conversations. Did you visit the battlefield at Neville's Cross while you were there?

This one was a standard offering from Glen Parrell, so there may be more out there but I seem to be the only one that shares on the board. The recreation is very close to the original except for the grip length being longer. The blade itself is not quite perfectly exact but very close in tapers and thinness of the belly. Below is the only other handy shot of the whole thing I have except for one of me attacking a target in one of the threads in here. Here in the foreground are some other single hand swords. Maybe more another time. I can't get recent stuff until mebbe later in the week. I am currently posting right now from a 1994 thin client appliance once known as WebTV. Cheers Hotspur; Bjorn's pages still rock. There are some of the same articles on myArmoury and SFI
