I've looked around the internet for a while for a functional/semi-functional version of this weapon. With a working mechanism and all. But I have found no evidence of a real working version existing. All I've seen are cheap plastic props or stuff made from drawer slides. Have any of you heard, seen or read anything about a working one? Your help would be most appreciated! (for those of you who doesn't know what weapon I'm talking about, here are some pictures)

Oh my, oh my... That was a quick response! This forum has certainly seen a lot of improvement since my last visit!
Many thanks!

No problem - but you'd better check to make sure they can ship that item to you (it is illegal in some areas, like my country...)

Seems like MRL has the license for the Assassin's Creed stuff, they also carry every single part of the costume, the sword, the throwing knives, and so on. I with more video games did stuff like that.
Anyway, if you do get the extension knife let us know how it is, it seems like it could be kinda cool, but not particularly very practical.

It looks really cool but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a complete piece of crap.

I read a review on it somewhere and it's not very good, not that sturdy.

From what I've heard, it doesn't even lock... (don't quote me on that, though. I might just be going crazy. ) However, if you do 'take the plunge', please review it! I'd be quite interested in hearing more about this blade. It could turn out to be totally awesome, or it could just be a carbon steel SLO... I hope this helps! ;D -Slayer

I've been considering the fighting knife that's on Altiar's back. Does anyone know how that is?

Probably not very good, if you look at close up photos you can see how cheap and flimsy the handle looks.

A friend of mine just bought that knife and the vambrace. The vambrace looked terrible. The inner part was ok but the outer "armor" plates are just black vinyl with white stitching to make the design. The concealed blade was kind of interesting. You can flick it open like a tactical baton instead of using the little slide to push it open. It locks open. There is a cable mechanism inside that opens it. It slides open as two separate pieces to extend longer than the actual throw of the lever. Unfortunately only the lower section locks open. When he tried to use it to stab into a pumpkin it just pushed the blade back into the extended portion of the blade housing. It's painted with white and black paint which looks kind of odd. He left it with me to see if I could find a way to modify it so that the whole blade stays locked out but I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. The blade doesn't lock? Ouch... Seems like I'll have to continue my search or just build one myself...

Yeah, I messed around with it a bit and got it to almost lock by tightening the pinch lock on the cable but found the whole thing to be on the flimsy side.

I did a quick search on custom jobs for exotic/unusual weapons and spring-extended knives. It brought me to this forum: sinza.forumotion.com/index.htmI haven't joined yet, but that might be a possible route to examine regarding getting a wrist-mounted Assassin's Creed knife. --Edward

well if all their fingers are cut off, they wouldn't be very good assassins, pretty sure assassins require their fingers to you know, grip things and stuff.
