Greetings All, from a novice sword collector. I would appreciate some input on the attached sword, it was a recent local New Zealand purchase. I believe it is a pre 1854 model due to the folding guard. It appear to have been cut down to fit a 1855 pattern Sappers and Miners bayonet scabbard. I think it all may be Maori war period done. Any input from those with more knowledge would be appreciated. Curious re the stamps meanings alsp.
