So, I wrote to the production company that made "Arn: The Knight Templar", about when it will come to the United States. I got this e-mail back: "Dear Edward, Thanks for your kind e-mail! However, ARN- THE KNIGHT TEMPLAR is not licensed to USA yet but we are aiming towards a 2010 release. Best regards, Karin Thun AB Svensk Filmindustri www.sfinternational.se" . . . So, it looks like we'll get it here in the U.S. next year . . . I hope :-). --Edward P.S. Not to disparage downloading torrents, but I eventually want to get my hands on a DVD/Blu-Ray :-).

I just got this movie for $18 off eBay from a Hong Kong seller- hopefully it's better than that dogged out Soldier of God, talk about a yawn fest.
I don't believe in downloads either...not for my collection anyways.
I just checked, the seller I won my auction from (and did receive the movie) is no longer registered with eBay. That is both odd and somewhat disconcerting.
On another note, there are about a half dozen other copies on eBay, just checked.

I haven't yet seen this movie, and I'm from Sweden.
Guess I have something to do...

However, why don't you just remove the region limits on your DVD/BluRay Player? (Region 0) My DVD Player plays discs with any region code.

If there is a way to change the region settings, I'm interested to know how . As for BluRay? I automatically thought that those were region specific. If not, perhaps I should start there (read: playing BluRays on my PS3 . --Edward

Although it is done differently for every model, so I'll need to know what brand/make and model your Player is if I'm to find out how to change the Region Coding.

can you change region codes at all? i thought that they had to do with the alignment of the Lazar in the DVD player Every player's region coding can be changed, It's only a question of who knows what to do and how much work is involved. Most manufacturers have a set codes programmed into the software that will alter the region code depending on what code you enter. Not all player's region codes are easy to change though, since if no one knows how to change the code for that particular model, it won't be posted anywhere one the internet, and thus, you'd have a very hard time cracking the region code. This site might help a lot though: www.videohelp.com/dvdhacksPS: and no, it has nothing to do with the laser, it's just a code in the data stored on the disc.

Great stuff you guys.
About the movie: it was awesome. Thrilling battle scenes (altho not enough for my taste, but hell, they could re-enact every Crusade battle and just strung them all together on 1 dvd and I'd be happier than a pig in mud), well acted even though it could get bogged down at times by the pacing and the story all in all, it is a movie I'll watch again and more likely than not, will become a favorite.
