Alright, I just want to get a sword sharpened. It is a Hanwei Qi Jian. I am worried that I will completely destroy it. Does anyone know where I can get it sharpened? I don't want to pay $1200 for a polish, but I would be happy to pay a little to have it done. Let me know. Thanks!

Getting somebody local is best. Besides which shipping a sword both ways get pretty pricey too...especially for a little sharpening job.

I'd like something local, that would be good. I don't even care if it is amateur, I just want a sharp sword . I live in Indiana.

Indeed... Ric has recently discovered the joys of the small belt sander... something I hope to do in the future as well.

Owtch. Looks like a messy situation. For what it's worth, I know Brandon has recently gotten married and moved to a new house. Also, he recently suffered an injury to his hand. All of these things have created a backlog. I've heard good things about his polishing skills, but I know that recent events in his personal life have caused him to be late. He is overdue with my polishing project, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until my sword comes back. Marc, thanks for the heads-up. Hopefully Brandon's marriage, moving, and injury won't slow him down, and he'll get back on track soon. --Edward
