Hello! .. I saw the Knights Edge Dussack, any comments? ...I don't know too much about the Knight Edge company .. seems like an indian manufacturer .. but maybe am wrong. Historically Circa 1520, Flemish Sword . Knights Edge: Seems a nice cutter, chopper and practice short sabre..

Knight's edge offers Ritter Steel products, who are known for functionnal and sturdy blades but also heavy and at least a bit unbalanced ones. Seeing this one I think it is unbalanced, the blade looks quite large compared to the tiny grip and its tiny handguard. On the other hand, it looks like a very simple and brutal weapon, plus it doesn't cost much (well, compared to many other products in our hobby ...).

For the life of me, I can't find the fellow's remarks but he had wrapped one in leather and found it handy as well as fun. Most of the Knight Edge site reflects the Ritter name for most of the stuff. I believe the source is the Phillipines but I could be wrong.
Others here have or continue to own the leather braided katana and others. The name has raised the flag of sharpened crowbar perhps more than any other source but they continue in the business, so someone is buying them.
The dussack read as having been a lot of fun to discuss but I am unable to find the specific thread on the older SFI chatter..
Cheers
Hotspur; some have sweared by their worth, regardless of weight and bulk issues

Thanks guys ... Definetly is not expensive as other swords, but yeap ..I've searching other forums, trying to find something interesting about this sabre and said basically the same : A unbalance sharpened crowbar.. Hmmm.. If I don't know about swords I would say: Seems like a poly board paper trimmer !

Utilitarian, even agrarian in nature - the sort of weapon a plowhand might brandish when beset by enemies...I guess it is a nice weapon but I have no interest in it. Will you be acquiring it?

The Lutel ones look like they have wrapped handles...the price was 3600CZD...what does that equate to USD? Just wondering.

I like its simplicity. Seems like a good utility tool that could double as a weapon.
3,600.00 CZK =183.180 USD
Czech Republic Koruny.....................United States Dollars 1 CZK = 0.0508832 USD...................1 USD = 19.6528 CZK

I'm rather taken by the Lutel, but am afraid of the sharpening option. Were I ever in the market for a Dussack, though, that'd be the one I'd go for.

I'll second Lutel. I've worked with their swords before; I have no complaints. Likewise, I've also worked with Rittersteel. Bulky, but durable.
I say go with either.
