Just saw this ; www.kultofathena.com/product~item~DSA1317~name~Darksword+Sting+Sword.htmDunno if this is the replica Darksword Armory produced in very small numbers. Nevermind, just saw the pictures in the manufacturers sub-forum, it seems to be sword I refered to in my last sentence. Also, I hope KOA made a few typos, because a 30'' sword, 8,5 pounds and almost 8'' point of balance ... A crowbar would feel lively compared to that, in my honest opinion.

8lbs!!!! It must be a typo! either that or its a monster of a sword.
Those hobbits must have been built like brick outhouses. They must have put some serious time in down at the gym

Maybe it better explains how that tiny sword ruined the giant spider's day (I'm refering to the fight between Sam and the giant spider, where Sam beats that monster with Sting... Just saying for those who don't know LOTR).

It's NOT 8.5 lbs, I can tell you that. I rememeber a guy saying that it was a BIT heavy, but not cumbersome. 8.5lbs= cumbersome. I wonder how many they have in stock? -Slayer

I thought so too. I've emailed KoA to tell them about the stats, as well as asking them (much more politely than this, I might add!) How the heck did you get those?!?!
Although, they weren't COMPLETELY sold out even before this. AoV still has a few left...

Irrespective of the weight, it does look half decent in that pic. I like the etching on the blade. I like that it is a 24" blade.

Okay, so here's the update. This is the email I sent them: And here's the email I recieved in response: I hope this helps! -Slayer P.S. I still would suggest buying from AoV. KoA may have good Customer Service, but AoV has the BEST CS. Besides, like Ryan said, he isn't actualy positive that KoA WILL get more DSA Stings.

Nope, I just plan on loving swords one day.... oh wait... HEY! I already do! ;D Okay, that was lame. I'm glad I'm able to contribute SOMETHING though, even if it's just typing emails to vendors. -Slayer
