You know, I'm not a big fan of their products...I don't like the look of them. I'll check it out though, Slayer.

I found it odd when going around there site that they sell there products for twice what any of there resellers sell them for, hmm pretty sneaky.

I don't particularly like cold steels product, can never put my finger on it but anything they have on their site I can find the equivalent of. Their production videos frankly leave a great deal to be desired and as to their forums, I have enough trouble keeping up with this one, so I will pass but thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I'm not going to be an 'active member' for sure. , but I thought that someone MIGHT want to know. I'm not sure what you guys mean about their business tactics, but I do know that I like the products. Not at the prices Cold Steel sells them for , but after a bit of pricematching with Wiwingt... -Slayer

Careful guys, we don't want to openly attack any vendors or manufacturers in open forum, that is not correct etiquette.

I have two Cold Steel products, a Laredo Bowie and 1917 Cutlass, I like very much. Not purchased from their home site, of course.

Cold Steel = Windlass blades fitted in the US. It's fairly common knowledge in the vendor world.
With this being said, their Viking and Hand and a Half swords are ok for cutters, if you can get them at the wholesale price of $150 or so. Any more than that, and you are better off to just go with a Windlass product. You literally are paying for the Cold Steel name...

Well and the fact that cold steel products are sharp out the the box, and windlass swords are not...correct?
