I'm with kid on this one; the grip was a bit too small on the 303S- that was actually funny to me because I have smaller hands so you'd think it'd fit but no...it did not.
No worries on that one, I'll get Brian to do a re-wrap, maybe he can thicken the grip that way...or make a new one.
Templar...just waiting for it...

The grip fits my hand perfectly on the new 304. I have long fingers too and it's a great fit without being bulky at all.
I really think VA nailed it with this generation.

Just got my Arming sword about an hour ago, its absolutely gorgeous, the only complaint I have is that the blade doesn't fit snugly into the sheath. Otherwise, an amazing sword!

Will be ordering an Arming sword as soon as my paycheck clears the bank. Will be antiqued brown, with a slightly beefier grip. Emailed VA a couple minutes ago and got a reply almost immediately. Was as if they typed it while I was typing mine. While I'm sure no one is surprised, it was great service and definitely worth noting. It appears I am going to drool myself out of house and home.

I got my arming sword and Kriegschwert yesterday. ;D I was a little disappointed in the sheath on the arming sword. Loose is an understatement. The sword rattles around inside and will fall out if tilted slightly. But I bought the sword not the sheath and I'm quite happy with the sword The Kriegschwert is just awesome.

I'm surprised to hear this... Both the Custom Tuned Arming swords I have seen were VERY tight in the scbbard. In fact, the scabbard was one of the high points of the sword for me... wood cored and leather but SO slim and light, and a perfect fit.

Yea, i have to agree, after examining it more, loose really is an understatement for the scabbard. Obviously it isn't a huge deal because the sword is wonderful, but does anyone know of an effective way to tighten the scabbard's grip on the sword? I can post some pics of it if anyone wants to see.

Hi everyone...I'm super-new here. Anyone got their krieg yet? any pics? Is the threaded part of the tang welded or one piece? Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure it's going to be one peice.. but I have not gotten mine yet. I HOPE it's shipping today so I get it this week... I'll be doing a full review of it and the Bristol.

Hi everyone...I'm super-new here. Anyone got their krieg yet? any pics? Is the threaded part of the tang welded or one piece? Thanks in advance! I got mine Friday. I haven't taken it apart yet so I can't tell you first hand if it's welded or not. But I do believe it is one piece and not welded. Maybe Sonny can jump on that one. And as far as pictures, I haven't taken any yet (it hasn't stopped raining here in 3 days!) but there are some in the Manufacturers section here: /index.cgi?board=europeansword&action=display&thread=893&page=8And there are more at the Christian Fletchers site: www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fletcher/Welcome.htmlHonestly, it looks exactly like those pictures and anything I take will be no better representation. Personally I think it is an amazing sword and worth the money. I am still waiting for the belt and suspension system, which is coming soon. Even without that I think it was worth the money. And welcome to the boards! ;D

I just got my Arming Sword today! ;D I agree that the scabbard is very plain but to keep the cost reasonable I can accept that. Mine seems secure in the scabbard but if you shake it a few times the sword will drop out. I don't feel it's overly loose. The sword grip is small in diameter and I thought it weird but the more I handle it, the more I'm feeling use to it. The fact that that it's small fits the lightness-This sucker is light!! It is effortless to handle. I can't wait to sacrifice the plastic horde in testing! ;D
I love this sword!!!

I'm still waiting for my check to go through for my insurance, to make sure I've got enough for this sword. I really hate how slow checks are, but they wouldn't take a debit card on their website for some strange reason. Mine's gonna have a beefier grip, though. What color did you get yours in? Edit: Just ordered it. Oh yeah.

I got mine in black, which I prefer for leather although the brown they make looks very nice. I like wood grips for brown, as I like the feel and look of wood.
Glad yours is on its way! I think you'll love it, especially with a beefier grip. Although, I seem to be adapting OK to my smaller one.

I've got big bear paws, so it was a bit awkward for me with the last one I had. I had that one for almost a year, and now Sean's got it. This one will have the same grip as the Crusader, which will be cool because they will match each other even better when I get my hands on that one, too.
